Wonder

1I have just commenced the Reverb10 - a challenge to creatively write daily with a given word and todays as you might have guessed is WoNDEr. I have little "wonder moments" just about everyday - At the beginning of the week my wonder was experiencing the emotional realisation that my 6 yr old had a wiggly tooth and what it meant to him. "Today my wonder moment is thinking of my 6yr old doing his end of year hiphop concert. I am in wonder how much he has improved since the beginning of the year, the fact that he is in his second year of doing a concert in front of many people whilst I at the same age could not bare the thought of performing full stop. I am in wonder when I see him brimming with anticipation and excitement at what he is about to do. There are many little stories like this that have been the bright spot of my day. In fact I would have to say that each one of my children gift "wonder" to us as parents regularly - as I am sure this to be true for you as well. This year my biggest wonder moment is being a part of different community groups and how we work together, appreciate each other ability to contribute and successfully reach set goals whilst providing a nurturing environment whether consciously or not. 2010 has been truly full of wonder just be living and doing everyday.

Monday-itis

After a really great week end, we are ready to start at the beginning of the week - again. (maybe not?) Today the humidity and heat has been turned up a notch so at some point we will be going to the beach. One of the week end hightlights was catching up with my girlfriend and her family and taking a couple of happy snaps. Her bubba is now 6 weeks old and it already feels like she has alsays been with them.

okay . . . . I think I am ready

So here I am in conversation with a girlfriend about blogging, how and why people use blogging and there it was. Every single reason why blogging and following bloggings are important. What was I doing. I had created a blog and lost direction as to what it was all about. And now here I am giving it another go. Sometimes it takes a child to remind us to see the magic in the everyday we do.

In the beginning . . . .

So here I am at what seems the beginning. I guess just about everything has a beginning in some point in time. I have been talking about doing this for a little while now and I guess I feel I am ready. Let's go, go, go!
